What is this?
This is a NZ wholefood Paleo bar that is very popular with athletes.
The Incaberry, similar to the Cape Gooseberry hails from high altitude tropics in South America. Once the fruit is dried it has a distinctive bronze orange colour. Incaberries are sweet with a fine and delicate sour finish.
What's so special about it?
Incaberries are a good source of antioxidants with their ORAC rating (measure of antioxidant capacity) surpassing many well known “superfoods” such as pomegranates, green tea, goji and cranberries. And they are particularly rich in polyphenols. Research consistently indicates that the antioxidants in Incaberries may also have anti-inflammatory qualities.
Independent testing with Assure Quality NZ has again demonstrated a breakthrough in Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) levels across a range of supplements (Vitamin B1, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Iron, Magnesium and Omega 3) from purely natural sources.
