This Matcha is perfect for lattes with your favourite nut, soy, coconut or other plant based milks. If you want a pure Matcha with only water, consider using the Ceremonial Grade instead.
Matcha is an exception antioxidant. This Matcha tea comes from an organic farm in Uji (Kyoto district), Japan, the birthplace of Japanese tea. A 60g pouch can give you up to 60 matcha drinks.
What is so nice about it?
This Latte Grade is the 2ndt quality possible, from the 3 qualities produced by the organic farm in Uji:
Matcha quality varies a great deal. Many of the generic brands available are not suitable for drinking, as they are a lower grade, very bitter and barely green at all. For instance there are concerns that matcha sourced from other Asian countries can be contaminated with lead from the soil, as a lot of lower quality matcha has been dumped on the market.
How do I use it?
A little (1/2-1tsp or 1gram) goes a long way. Indulge in this matcha whisked with water until frothy.
Matcha is a special variety of green tea, stoneground into a fine powder.
All the nutritional properties of the tea leaves are ingested, not letting any of the goodness go to waste. Matcha tea leaves are shade grown before harvest, significantly increasing the chlorophyll and amino acid content well above that of standard green teas.;
Matcha is well known for being extremely high in antioxidants.
The best way of putting this into perspective is with the ORAC value of matcha. ORAC is an acronym that stands for oxygen radical absorbance capacity. This test determines how readily available the antioxidants in a food or drink are and how effective those antioxidants are in the body.
Matcha has one of the highest ORAC values of natural food products that we know of. Matcha Matcha's ORAC value on a per gram basis is 1384.
