What’s so good about it?
This Bone Broth is loaded with traditional Chinese adaptogenic mushrooms and a wholesome source of Vitamin D. Beef Bone Broth is also a source of protein with almost 20% of it being made of pure protein from collagen which is necessary for tissue building and repair.
Bone Broth has been made for hundreds of years by our grandparents and their grandparents due to its traditional gut health properties. Bone Broth contains many nutrients and is made up almost entirely of protein which is necessary for tissue building and repair throughout the body.
How is it made?
Roasted beef bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar (to maximise nutrient extraction) then slow cooked for 48 hours. The broth is then strained for impurities and the fat is skimmed off of the top. It is gently refractance window dried into a powder, taking care to preserve the precious nutrients.
Note: For the sake of clarity, please note that the Beef Bones are NOT guaranteed organic. They used to be in previous batches, but after checking with the NZ importer it appears that this is not necessarily the case any more.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CHINESE MUSHROOMS AND BOTANICALS?
Chinese mushrooms have been used throughout history in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. Reishi Mushroom, in particular, is touted as the “king of Traditional Chinese Medicine” due to its proposed benefits on the immune system and its role as a strong adaptogen. In western culture where lemon, honey and garlic are brewed for the treatment of the common cold, the equivalent in eastern culture is broths filled to the brink with a variety of immune boosting mushrooms and or in the case of He Shou Wu, a black bean based soup to help alleviate symptoms, promote the rebalance of ‘Yin’ energy and strengthen “Qi” or lifeforce to assist in recovery. These mushrooms have such strong empirical evidence of use throughout history that the western world is slowly catching up to include these medicinal mushrooms in foods more widely so that everyone can reap the benefits of these traditional elixirs.
WHAT DO CHINESE MUSHROOMS TASTE LIKE?
Majority of mushrooms available today are of traditional Asian origin and all have a particular smokiness about them with shiitake having the most distinct and popular flavour. The roundness of the smokey flavour delicately compliments the robustness of Beef Bone Broth and Vegetable Broth and adds to the soft aroma of Chicken Bone Broth.
IS MUSHROOM BROTH SUITABLE FOR PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING WOMEN AND CHILDREN?
Yes, Mushroom Broths are suitable for all members of the family to consume. All Traditional Chinese Mushrooms and botanicals are included only in relative quantities for a food product (roughly 100 x less than the suggested therapeutic dose) and all have a long history of consumption as food in Asian cultures.

IS MUSHROOM BROTH VEGAN?
As with the other Bone Broths, unfortunately, the Bone Broths (chicken and beef) are not suitable for vegans. However, we have made sure to include a plant-based version of the mushroom broth - Vegetable and Mushroom flavour - which is 100 % vegan.

Shipping rates are available at checkout for most other international destinations. Shipping is typically with NZ Post International Air (Tracked).
International Shipping is per weight. Hence you can get a reasonable shipping quote for all powdery products (especially the broths and lattes), but shipping can get more expensive for heavy items. Please try removing the more heavy items if you want to bring the international shipping cost down.
